Leather
Wipe dust off with a dry cloth. Every few months, work in a small amount of leather conditioner and let it dry away from heat. Keep leather out of standing water; if it gets soaked, let it dry slowly at room temperature.
Rusted and raw steel
Rust finishes are sealed but still living. Keep them indoors and dry. A light coat of paste wax once a year keeps the colour even and stops rust rubbing off on hands or desks.
Edges and hardware
Sawblade pieces are sharp by design — dust around the teeth, not along them. If a stud, tack or fastener works loose, stop using the piece and get in touch.
